Europe’s fastest growing airline has moved to support travellers by boosting the number of car hire options available when making flight bookings.
Eurowings now has a partnership with Hertz, in addition to those with Thrifty, Budget and Avis, and it means that holidaymakers can hire vehicles when booking their flights.
The services will be available from March 2018, and will run through until 2021, while Eurowings customers will also be able to collect air miles with the brand’s Boomerang Club bonus programme.
With a focus on ensuring that vehicles are available for all kinds of travel, and at affordable prices, the partnerships should help to simplify the booking process.
Oliver Wagner, Chief Commercial Officer of Eurowings, said the airline wants to provide “reliable support and guidance along the entire travel chain”.
“This new partnership means that Eurowings can offer an even larger range of hire cars and satisfy every price requirement, supplying a flight that is optimised right up to the final destination,” he explained.
The new deals target both leisure and business customers and build on existing offerings that are available across Europe.
Eurowings has worked with Avis since 2007 and with the addition of the car hire firm’s Budget brand, it means vehicle hire is available that can suit all budgets.
The airline also operates a Best Price guarantee, meaning travellers can challenge any prices that they can find cheaper elsewhere.
Eurowings operate from the majority of UK airports and offer low-cost flights to a host of European destinations, from Eastern and Western Europe, to Iceland, Scandinavia and the Balkans.
Long haul options also exist to Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, Mauritius, Namibia, Thailand and the USA, among others.
While hiring a car in these destinations can provide plenty of flexibility and freedom to explore, you do need to plan ahead.
This is particularly the case when it comes to car hire insurance, as you might find you can get additional cover for the excess that will cover you in the event that your vehicle is damaged or stolen.
These costs can add up to thousands of pounds should you need to claim, meaning car hire excess insurance cover could provide added peace of mind.
