A new airport transfer booking portal could be set to transform the way travellers find the best deals and quickest transfer times.
easyjet, in partnership with HolidayTaxis Group, has launched the portal to cover travel from airports in 130 countries around the world.
This will provide a helpful service to the airline’s 78 million annual passengers, especially to the 12 million of those who fly for business reasons.
HolidayTaxis and easyJet have been in partnership for over ten years now, and both are intent on developing the site so that customers can find the cheapest deal on transport in any destination.
Ian Coyle, Managing Director at HolidayTaxis Group, commented: “Our wide range of transportation options, coupled with our commitment to customer service and continual platform enhancement will continue to help easyJet provide its passengers with a range of transfer options.”
HolidayTaxis is already working with a number of well-renowned travel brands, including Lastminute.com, TUI, Etihad and British Airways Holidays.
Just a few months ago, the airline launched ‘Worldwide by easyJet’, the first global airline connections service by a low fare carrier.
Travellers are now able to connect their easyJet flight with partner airlines at Gatwick Airport, which offers easy travel to both North and South America, as well as the Far East.
A number of airlines are expected to get involved in the future, and easyJet plans to expand to airports in Europe such as Barcelona, Amsterdam, Geneva and Milan Malpensa.
“Our own customers and those who fly with other airlines, short and long haul, have also asked us to make it easier to connect with easyJet flights and this simple booking platform makes it easy for them to do so,” said Carolyn McCall, easyJet's CEO.
If you’re thinking of travelling abroad in the coming months, be sure to organise your worldwide travel insurance in advance.
