This year was the fourth instalment of the event, which took place at the five-star A-ROSA Kitzbuhel in Austria, and welcomed the leaders in ski hospitality.
More than 1.6 million people from 85 countries voted in the awards, and chose Val Thorens because of a combination of the best of skiing, best atmospheres, a pioneering spirit, breath-taking natural environment and exceptional snow conditions.
