Hotel investment and hospitality group, Amaris Hospitality, has committed £24 million to renovate three UK & Irish hotel properties.
The extra investment brings the Group’s total capital investment up to £124 million, as it continues its programme to transform, rebrand and reposition 23 hotels across its portfolio.
Jurys Inn Oxford is set to get an extra 72 rooms as well as additional meeting space from £5.7 million of investment, with work set to be completed on the four-star hotel in October 2016.
Currently Jurys Inn Oxford boasts 168 bedrooms, 20 meeting and event rooms, leisure facilities, conference facilities, a bar and restaurant.
Alongside the extension to Jurys Inn Oxford, Hilton Garden Inn and Jurys Inn Belfast will also be extended.
Expansion plans across the UK and Ireland
Hilton Garden Inn will receive £10 million to add an extra 85 bedrooms, whilst Jurys Inn Belfast is set to receive £8 million to support an additional 80 rooms and complete renovations of all the rooms currently within the hotel.
Across the board, the Amaris Hospitality extension programme will result in a further 237 rooms, adding to the 13,500 rooms that the Group currently possesses in its portfolio.
The company is already seeking other opportunities to extend properties in various locations, largely due to the UK hospitality sector experiencing some positive momentum.
According to John Brennan, CEO of Amaris Hospitality, the firm is committed to fulfilling its business plan of growing its portfolio, hence the extra £24 million investment to add additional rooms to landmark hotels.
The company continues to see huge potential to grow the Jurys Inn brand in key UK cities and has also cited a number of other potential extensions to existing hotels. Amaris is already in advanced discussions on a number of exciting development and acquisition projects.
