Caribbean resort Sandals has announced the opening of a huge London shop that marks its first appearance on a British high street.
The Luxury Travel Store will be a dedicated high street retail experience in the heart of London offering Brits a chance to sample the industry-leading hotel brand's unique style.
First in the UK
The new 5,000 sq ft interactive store will be the first of its kind in the UK.
Set to open in March 2016 after an investment of more than £1 million, the interactive experience will aim to immerse visitors into the luxury world that Sandals’ fans already know and love.
A range of educational and sensory experiences will be on offer, designed to “evoke consumers’ imaginations”.
Features will include stunning overwater architecture, deluxe furnishings and eclectic art. All this comes courtesy of retail design experts Wanda, who have taken inspiration from Sandals’ own luxurious interior and exterior styles.
Managing director for Sandals UK & Europe Karl Thompson said: “We are very excited to be making our mark on the high street and extending our longstanding commitment to providing a high quality of customer service to our guests.”
“The substantial investment in this retail experience further demonstrates the growth potential in the UK market,” he continued.
As well as dedicated customer areas, the Luxury Travel Store will also host travel industry events at a state-of-the-art Training Suite.
As well as providing visitors with what the company calls “a tangible insight into the scents, sounds and tastes” of the all-inclusive treats on offer, there will also be a bespoke booking service tailored to everyone's individual needs.
The Luxury Travel Store will offer what it calls a “tailored customer journey” and visitors can expect to be able to virtually sightsee by engaging with content made up of video footage, input from apps and real time social media feeds all displayed on 30 55” flat LCD screens.
