A special episode of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be filmed live from Barcelona on the top deck of P&O Cruise's flagship Britannia.
ITV's award-winning show will also give 200 lucky viewers a chance to win 100 free cabins on a 14-night roundtrip cruise from Southampton to the Mediterranean when the programme returns for its next series.
The trip will include an overnight call in Barcelona which is when the special episode of Ant & Dec's show will be filmed live.
UK TV's most popular duo will be joined by celebrity guests and the show will feature all the usual stunts, performances and competitions that make it a must-see for millions of Brits every weekend.
The cruise leaves Southampton on March 27th 2016 with the 200 lucky viewers on board and will visit Cadiz, Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), Ajaccio, Corsica and Gibraltar. The Britannia will dock back at Southampton on April 10th.
Popular British tradition
Paul Ludlow, senior vice president of sales & marketing for P&O Cruises said: “We are delighted that Britain's most popular Saturday night show will be broadcasting live from Britain's biggest and newest cruise ship.
“P&O Cruises is an inherently British brand and with Saturday night entertainment being such a popular British tradition, we thought this would be a great partnership.”
The P&O boss went on to say that the event would really "open up the concept of cruise" to TV viewers and would ultimately mean many more new-to-cruise sales.
This is the first time that P&O Cruises have tried a TV tie-in such as this and the company sees it as part of the brand evolution of the past 18 months to two years.
The event will be an ambitious move for ITV too, as Saturday Night Takeaway's executive producer Pete Ogden explained.
“I am thrilled to be working with P&O Cruises to shoot a live episode of the series on board Britannia," Ogden said. "It is a huge undertaking, but I am confident that we will work together to make it a spectacular event.”
