Winner of the prestigious Leading MICE Hotel for Morocco and Africa title at this year's World Travel Awards, the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort has announced its new "Mazagan Treasure Hunt".
For Brits looking for competitive team-building opportunities away from the office, the facilities are located at the resort itself, in the local town of El Jadida and also at the UNESCO protected Portuguese fort, 90 kilometres southwest of Casablanca.
The Mazagan Treasure Hunt is a series of six different missions. Participants are sorted into teams named after famous cities in Morocco in the hotel lobby and given cryptic hotel enigmas to use in order to solve clues and find hidden treasures.
The aim of the team building exercises is to build and strengthen solidarity between colleagues and the Hunt presents co-workers with a unique test of ingenuity whilst also providing corporate Brits with a bespoke opportunity to explore the resort.
In order to avoid team penalties the trail will have to be completed in no more than two hours. Taking place in the Golf Club, Mazagan Spa and a variety of the resort's 14 different restaurants and bars, participants will have the chance to enhance their workplace skills and conquer tough challenges at each separate stage of the Mazagan Treasure Hunt.
Promoting local culture
Brits taking part in these team-building challenges will also have the opportunity to explore the local culture.
The Portuguese Treasure Hunt will take participants off the resort and into the 16th century Portuguese Fortification of El Jadida. Racing against one another in historic surroundings, teams will race to solve clues and complete six challenges.
Before the winners are announced at the notable Dar Del Mar guesthouse at the end of the day, team members will have their commercial, communication and cultural skills tested.
The Boldness Challenge will ask them to source and purchase local traditional items at competitive prices and the Proximity Challenge will ask them to immerse themselves in the community to find a variety of local monuments.
