Dubai car rental sector continues to thrive

DubaiDubai’s car hire sector continues to perform strongly, as a number of brands are expanding their hire offerings and are announcing plans for future growth.

Some 15.79 million international visitors ventured to Dubai in 2017, up from 14.87 million a year previously, with around one in five arriving from Western Europe.

The UK is the Emirate’s third largest source market, with visitor numbers rising by 2% year-on-year, and most are keen to explore what Dubai has to offer.

It also details a rise in long term car rentals in the country, although it notes that the Expo 2020 Dubai is also having a big influence on growth in the leisure sector, with hundreds of developments being built to meet the expected tourist arrivals for the event.
