Survey reveals the top 10 home comforts Brits travel with

Tattoo1The average traveller takes three home comforts with them every time they go on holiday, according to research from Jet2Villas.

Two thirds (66%) of travellers revealed that they take at least one home comfort with them on holiday, whilst 20% take five with them.

Just over 40% of Brits take their own tea bags away with them and 15% turn the kettle on as soon as they arrive.

One in three travellers takes their own slippers on holiday with them, whilst 19% make sure they pack their own pillow before jetting off.

Interestingly, 10% of British travellers take their own cutlery and best china on holiday with them, whilst other popular home comforts include ketchup, dressing gowns, HP Sauce, Marmite and a photo of their pet.

The survey also looked at the aspect of home Brits wish they could take on holiday if they could, and 56% said they would take their own bed.

Taking the TV and the family car away on holiday also feature on the list, whilst 15% indicated that they would take a home-cooked meal with them.

Brits also revealed that privacy is incredibly important whilst on their holiday, although 50% said they had bumped into someone they know whilst away – of the 50%, half of those took deliberate steps to physically avoid them!

One in four (25%) travellers have bumped into a friend on holiday and one in ten (10%) have even bumped into a work colleague.
