Travelport agrees Right Cars deal to enhance car rental offering

keyTravelport has announced an agreement with Right Cars, one of the fastest-growing car rental brands in the industry.

The company, based in Brighton, operates in 23 countries around the globe, providing car rental services in more than 140 locations, including airport terminals.

Travelport is a travel commerce platform, focused on providing distribution, technology, payment and other solutions within the travel and tourism industry.

The agreement will enable more than 68,000 travel agencies connected through Travelport to provide real-time access to Right Car’s inventory and allow travellers to pay via Smartpoint – Travelport’s own sale tool.

The deal will allow Right Cars to widen its customer base while improving its distribution capabilities, allowing them to deliver high quality vehicles to travellers all over the world.

Travel agents who are linked to Travelport’s business-to-business platform will now have a choice of more than 37,000 car rental locations to offer to travellers who are eager to explore on their holidays.

Through Travelport’s network there have been more than 94 million car rental days sold, highlighting the huge volume that Right Car will now have access to.

It is hoped that Right Car’s variety of vehicles and services will give travel agents connected to Travelport the chance to sell much more personalised travel experiences.

Right Cars also has plans to open 25 new branches this year, including nine in the USA, six in Italy and three in South Africa and the Dominican Republic respectively.
