Monarch Airlines launches new cheap flight routes for 2017

Budget airline Monarch has launched cheap flights from Birmingham to Portugal, with a trip costing a passenger just £32.

The airline has announced its summer 2017 schedule and the UK group outlined plans to introduce two new routes to its extensive list.

Birmingham to Porto is the first addition, whilst Monarch have also revealed that they will introduce flights from Manchester to Dubrovnik.

Flights from Birmingham to Porto start at just £32 – with a two night trip starting at just £139 –and begin on 28 April 2017, operating three times a week on a Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.

The flight to Dubrovnik from Manchester will start at the same price, whilst a seven-night holiday in Croatia costs from £259 per person.

Croatia will be open to travellers from 29 April 2017, who will have the option of twice-weekly Monarch flights from Manchester on Wednesday and Saturday.

Additionally, the airline has also added a Tuesday flight to the London Gatwick programme, taking the total number of flights up to five a week from the London hub.

Marjan Schoeke, Monarch’s Head of Network Development, said the new flight route to Porto follows on from successful launches from London Luton and Manchester in September.

The new destinations come as the airline continues to refine and develop their network strategy to resemble customer’s ideal locations.

There will also be additional flights to Gibraltar for summer 2017 from Manchester Airport, which are start at £39.

The extended summer 2017 schedule follows September’s announcement of three new destinations to the Monarch network including Stockholm, Zagreb and Porto.

Monarch Airlines offers flights from five major airports across the UK including Birmingham, Leeds Bradford, London Luton, London Gatwick and Manchester.
