Travel Counsellors focus on growth following app launch
Travel Counsellors has launched its first consumer app called ‘my TC’ to provide customers with travel information and documents.
The app, which is available via Google Store and the Apple Store, will provide corporate and leisure customers with instant access to key documents, itineraries and constant contact with the customer’s Travel Counsellor if needed.
A large focus for the app is continuing to ensure that those that use it receive a highly personalised experience.
My TC also allows users to personalise booking information with imagery, create trip notes on each part of their journey, and show a countdown of upcoming trips – customers will also have the ability to share their trip via social media or email.
A successful trial
The app was soft launched in June 2016 to 80 Travel Counsellors across the company’s seven global operations, with 350 leisure and corporate customers trialling the app to provide feedback ahead of its launch.
So far, the app has been viewed in 25 countries and accessed 1,300 times, and Rob Snelson, IT Director and Travel Counsellors, insists it is only in its first development phase, with further functionality and features set to be rolled out over the next couple of months.
Mr Snelson insists it was vital that the Travel Counsellors image of offering a high level of personal service was portrayed within the app.
The very best technology was incorporated, as the company looks to extend its reach into the digital medium, in order to connect people with their travel information.
