New mobile app from Etihad Airways
The way we are arranging our travel needs is changing all the time and one of the biggest revolutions involves smartphones. The travel industry has long been at the forefront of responding to changing consumer behaviours and now Etihad Airways is the latest carrier to launch a new mobile application for the iPhone.
Simple to use
The Etihad Airways mobile app is simple to use and offers a way to comprehensively manage a trip by taking full advantage of the latest innovations in mobile tech.
Users can book tickets, check-in and view the status of their flight through the app, which also offers 10% off flights. Members of the airline’s loyalty programme Etihad Guest will also get 250 extra miles for every booking they make through the app before 30 May.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways Chief Commercial Officer, explained: “Etihad Airways is dedicated to delivering excellence in every single guest interaction, be it face to face or on digital channels.
“We strive to provide innovative solutions that ensure our guests enjoy a seamless world-class service. We are confident that our guests will be delighted with the speed of the app, its ease of use and its considerable functionality.”
The airline has partnered with Abu Dhabi Airports Company so that its passengers can navigate their way around Abu Dhabi International Airport using indoor maps, which is a first in the Middle East.
The new app also offers onboard options such as a high resolution enhanced seat map which gives passengers a detailed layout of the cabin and their chosen seat.
Etihad Aviation Group Chief Information Technology Officer Robert Webb commented: “The mobile app marks a great step forward in our Digital Guest Innovation strategy."
The new Etihad Airways iPhone app is available now to download via the App Store.
