Questor Insurance today made available its "My Driving Licence" insurance policy on its web site
www.questor-insurance.co.uk. With 6,000 speeding cameras and an unknown
number of mobile speeding traps drivers in the United Kingdom have a 1 in 5 chance
of getting an endorsement on their licence. It is estimated that there may
be up to 2,000,000 drivers in the UK with 8 or more points and just one step away
from a driving ban.
Questor's CEO Andrew Lawrence explained the thinking behind the My Driving Licence
policy. "We do not condone dangerous speeding that puts people's lives in
danger but the majority of speeding offences are just above the speeding limit.
In the minds of many drivers speeding cameras are simply a money raising exercise
rather than a public safety initiative.
Questor has designed a policy that will help mitigate the effects of a driving ban
by paying up to an agreed amount for a maximum of 12 months following a ban.
There are three levels of cover: -
- £500 per month / £6,000 per year
- £1,000 per month / £12,000 per year
- £2,000 per month / £24,000 per year
Premiums start at just £21.00 per year including insurance premium tax and clients
who have incurred up to 8 points in the last three years can buy protection." Andrew
continued "The real issue for all drivers is to consider the impact that a driving
ban would have on there personal and working lives and then to ask the question
can you afford to lose your driving licence?"
Clients can buy the My Driving Licence Insurance by clicking
HERE. As with all of Questor's insurance policies the cover
is quick and easy to purchase and clients receive 5% of the premium spend (excluding
the tax element) as a discount off their next purchase.
