Introduction
Speed cameras are a fact of life and while no one condones reckless speeding there
is now a 1 in 5 chance of getting a speeding conviction in the UK. With 6,000 speed
cameras across the country the chances of getting a ban through the totting up procedure
is increasing. It is estimated that there are 2,000,000 drivers in the UK on 6 points
or more.
If you do receive a ban, the minimum is 6 months this will cause you considerable
inconvenience and for some drivers may mean them losing their jobs. Questor
Insurance has launched a new product that will mitigate the effects of a
ban by paying additional travel expenses incurred during the period of a ban. The
product is structured so that clients can purchase one of three levels of cover:

- Level 1 - £500 per month / £6,000 per year
- Level 2 - £1,000 per month /
£12,000 per year
- Level 3 - £2,000 per month / £24,000 per year
Premiums start at just £21.00 per year including insurance premium tax for clients
with nil points buying Level 1 cover rising to £294 per annum for customers with
8 points buying Level 3 cover.
